About Berris

Berris - Not a Brand without purpose or direction. Founded "Officially" on 3rd April 2020, Ryan Hooker (Founder & Creative Director) envisioned and began design on a Clothing Range that would be built with an Authentic attitude towards directional aesthetics, focusing on true quality and functionality for any occasion.
The truth sits that Berris was born years and years before "officially" founding with a title and vision. It was always with Ryan's interests to wonder and create as a child. Hobbies other than the norm, were solely based around what was known to him as "doodling" (drawing/designing) with wherever his mind wondered to - often being towards Sportswear & Football Kit designs to which used to be then taped to the walls in inspiration for the next drawing.
On March 23rd 2020, Coronavirus hit the world to which gave us, in respect, all the time in the world. These "doodles" as mentioned above, were stumbled upon to which was never known to be kept whilst having a tidy up one evening.

The combination of this and a strange new addiction of reading song lyrics throughout lockdown, sparked curiosity when scanning over the lyric, "They say a flower won't bloom unless you water it". From this week onwards, "doodling" recommenced, and similar to as a Child, Ryan played with the idea of creating an Official Clothing Brand with just a pen and paper.
"People should want to be in this industry because it's who they are" - Samuel Ross (Founder of A-Cold-Wall).

Berris was born around the slang "It's the Berries" ; a term in the 1930-1950 period that was founded due to a story of Children fruit picking in the summer periods with friends. It was used to describe something wonderful, attractive & pleasing - from the fond memories of a happy childhood.
At the forefront of Berris is the uncompromising commitment to delivering innovative and clean, yet original products with tradition fused within. Our promise to keep an aesthetic uniquely of our own will stand strong throughout the collections.
Remember ; Your flower won't bloom unless you water it.
